Last month the cruise line announced inaugural dates and select itineraries for their season full of new destinations. Some of their most anticipated stops added for the summer of 2024 will be the Bahamas, the Mediterranean, Alaska, and more.

On June 8, 2024, Disney Cruise Lines will set sail to its newest Bahamian destination on the island of Eleuthera at Lighthouse Point. Guests who choose this adventure will enjoy a vibrant beach retreat designed with families in mind, infused with the color and energy of local Bahamian artistry.

The Disney Fantasy will be the first to head towards the new location with a memorable seven-night inaugural sail from Port Canaveral in Florida. These lucky guests will also get a one-day stop at Castaway Cay. After its first voyage, Disney states, “Lighthouse Point will be a featured port of call on select three-, four- and five-night sailings to The Bahamas and the Caribbean on the Disney Magic out of Fort Lauderdale.”

If you want to trade the sands of the Caribbean for the luxury of Europe, Disney has you covered. The Disney Dream will visit select European destinations in the “Mediterranean, Greek Isles, British Isles and popular locales in the Norwegian Fjords and Iceland.”

The European cruises will be a little longer due to the increased port of calls. Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises setting sail from Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome) will be at sea for five to 11 nights. Their northern Europe and British Isles cruises will start at three nights. Their most extended option is a 12-night voyage with stops in the Norwegian fjords, three days in Iceland and an overnight stay in Reykjavik.

The announcement stated that the new ports of call would include Valencia, Spain; Haugesund, Norway; and Hamburg, Germany, along with three Mediterranean destinations that will return for the first time since 2014: Catania, Italy; Kusadasi, Turkey; and Valletta, Malta.

They are also offering trips to “The Last Frontier” again. The Disney Wonder will head to Alaska from Vancouver, Canada, from May to September. The five-, seven- and nine-night sailings are set to visit places like Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and glacier viewing along the Stikine Icecap. All cruise offerings will experience the best that Disney has to offer in dining and entertainment options.
