The Bahamas and St. Lucia has been honored with the Caribbean Destination Resilience Awards at the 2024 Caribbean Travel Marketplace hosted in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
This recognition is awarded by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) to destinations that focus significantly on resilience through their commitment to the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s (UNWTO) sustainable development goals.

The Bahamas received the award in the large tourism destination category, which celebrates regions with a significant number of stopover visitor arrivals, surpassing half a million.
This category saw Aruba and Puerto Rico as notable contenders but ultimately, The Bahamas secured the top spot.
