A female tourist from China vacationed in a national park in Thailand five years ago and returned again recently. This time, he came to express his thanks for being saved from disaster.
Quoted from local Thai media khaosodenglish, Tuesday (23/4/2024), the woman named Wang Nan met her rescuers, who were employees of the Pha Taem National Park in Ubon Ratchathani Province. The four employees, Pairoj Phiw-on, Sakulthai Chansuk, Sorawit Mingman, and Sathaporn Phima, did not expect to receive the visit.
For national park employees, saving anyone, especially visitors, is part of their duties and obligations. They are indeed equipped with rescue capabilities and are tasked with maintaining the safety and comfort of national park visitors.

The visit revealed Wang Nan’s bitter story. Five years ago, on June 9 2019 to be precise, Wang Nan vacationed in Pha Taem with her husband, Yu Xiaodong.
They come from Jiangsu province, China but have lived in Bangkok since 2016. They have an import-export business.
Yu and Wang went to Pha Taem to watch the sunrise. However, Yu then reported to the police that his wife could not be contacted.
Not long ago, Wang was discovered by a tourist. He was on the brink with fractures in his left thigh, arm, collarbone and knee. At that time, she was young pregnant.
The tourist reported the find to national park officials. Officers rushed him to Sapphasitthiprasong Hospital.
The local police found something odd in the case. During the investigation, Wang finally conveyed the accusation to Yu. He said Yu pushed him off a cliff.
According to Wang, Yu did this because he wanted his 100 million baht (Rp. 43.8 billion) fortune to pay off debts. Wang said she did not immediately convey the information to the police so that her husband would not run away while she was being treated.
Yu was arrested at the hospital while visiting Wang.
